Fisheries law is a complex topic involving numerous types of law and application. After initial reviews of general fisheries related legislation, Legal Atlas has prepared datasets for eight jurisdictions within the proposed TransPacific Partnership Agreement, and is currently working with UNEP-WCMC office to compile related laws and policies directed at AREAS BEYOND NATIONAL JURISDICTION for an area in the Indian Ocean.
These preliminary sets of legislation will form the foundation of future database development work that is currently in development through our independently funded ABNJ project. |
