The Legal Atlas Internship Programme provides students with the unique opportunity to join an international, collaborative and trans-disciplinary team of lawyers and professionals from a variety of disciplines to gain interdisciplinary research experience at the interface of international law and policy.

What You Will Do
Interns are typically assigned to a research topic currently being investigated by Legal Atlas. For advanced degree students, we offer the opportunity to focus on research of personal academic interest. For all research, interns collaborate with other team members and mentors on one or more of the following:
Creating global compendia of international and national legislation
Identifying and analyzing other forms of data related to the topic assigned
Defining international legal best practices
Assessing national legal frameworks against legal best practices
Engaging in comparative analyses of countries as part of regional or global assessment exercises
Generating visual tools and communication materials to present research
Identifying and using non-legal data to provide context to legal analyses

Who Can Apply
Students from all nationalities residing in any country can apply, as long as you have access to a computer and internet connection to conduct research remotely. Legal Atlas operates principally through its platform and remote communications channels to meet with and accommodate students across different time zones.
Proficiency with word processing software and spreadsheets is required. All candidates need a Skype ID for team communications and to complete the remote orientation session. Existing knowledge of work-sharing platforms and remote working is desirable. Working language is through English, and knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
You should have a strong interest in international affairs and the environment, looking to complement your education with an applied interdisciplinary research experience. We welcome current students and recent graduates from any discipline to the team.
